“Scientific Illustrations with Dana DeRoche"
with
Ms Dana DeRoche
Scientific illustrations are an important part of any description of species collected from the field, and are integral in scientific papers. Imagery typically in scientific papers include photographs of living or preserved specimens, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and line drawings. Line drawings can make important parts of the specimen clear in a way that photographs may not. Dana DeRoche is a Museum Specialist with the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History who will lead the Young Entomologists in learning how to create scientific drawings!
Please RSVP if you plan to attend.
